Photographer and writer.

 

I'm interested in the visual ecosystems (that I call 'icosystems') within the Internet in social networks such as Instagram or Facebook and the changing role of the author-artist from a producer to a 'produser' as well as the dilemmas of both excess and access in the contemporary photography.

 

I'm intrigued with the "From Here On" Manifesto created by Joan Fontcuberta, Erik Kessels, Martin Parra, Clément Cheroux and Joachim Schmid for Les Rencontre D'Arles 2011.

 

Right now I'm feeling more comfortable as an editor-curator-author than being a photographer in the traditional (lets call it modernist-avant garde) sense. I'd like to explore more this approach to artistic creation as a way to find my own voice to express and communicate through photography.

I founded with some other photographers the Mexican Society of Daguerreotype.
